We, Jerre and Alejandro, are the proud owners of Lux 22 restaurant. Our journey began in the Netherlands, where we decided to move to Gran Canaria at the beginning of 2022. Admittedly, leaving everything behind was an exciting yet daunting prospect, but we were determined to make our dream come true. We sold our house and had all our belongings brought over by sea container, marking the beginning of our journey towards our new home.
While we were familiar with the island, we had to adjust to the language and culture of Gran Canaria. It was a steep learning curve, but we were determined to make it work. We spent the year 2022 exploring and immersing ourselves in the local culture, all while keeping our dream of starting our own restaurant in Maspalomas at the forefront of our minds. In October of that year, we finally got the chance to make our dream a reality. We found a beautiful property and decided to name it Lux 22 to exude luxury. It was the perfect opportunity to start our new adventure, and we were thrilled to finally open our doors to the public.
Our combined skill sets made for the ideal start to our business. Jerre has a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry, complementing functions, while Alejandro has a wealth of experience in planning, administration, and management. With a dash of guts and perseverance, we were able to create a professional team and provide our customers with high-quality dishes from our kitchen every day.
